Qawarirah Art had its 2nd Summer event today alhamdulillah, went well and sold quite a few pieces, well when they werent flying about in the wind that is :/ seriously who’d have thought canvasses would fly away that easily?! Took several pics but nothing amazing, next event in 2 days insha’Allah, du’aas min fadhlek =D

Camera. I need something to do justice to the art pieces.

Have you ever wished you could have a built-in camera in the back of your head? Like whatever you see you can take a pic of it, exactly as it is, without any colour loss or lighting problems…that would be so awesome, right? *dreams*

lol…But yeh I need a new cam basically. Until then I’m reluctant to take pics, probably will though =P a few…maybe….Insha’Allah… =P

…Since ive updated the blog, well it seems ages to me anyway. I think I need a backhander, I begin one project then get sidetracked with another, Qawarirah Art bores me now…woah did I really say that? loool I guess I did, I enjoy painting still, think about it every spare minute I get, but writing about it? Hmm, isnt rocking my boat no more but lets see…inshaAllah that spark will be re-ignited soon

Why am I not surprised to hear people saying they feel kinda intimidated when painting for the first time? …Its because I used to feel the same way, and its the same feeling you get when faced with a blank piece of paper really, the same feeling you get when you open Microsoft Word and have no idea how to begin your assignment. Its the feeling you get when swimming in waters unknown, or whatever the phrase is =)

When I first started painting, I’d use an a4 sized canvas, that enough was intimidating enough for me, but moreso when I began using an a3 size, I’d literally sit for half an hour staring at it, wondering what I was going to paint and whether or not it’d be an epic fail. I recall buying a set of 4 a3 canvasses and it took me a year and a half painting all 4, meaning it took me a very long time plucking up the courage to put brush to canvas and do something…

You just have to give it a go, you dont know what the outcome will be till you’ve tried it, and if you dont like the end result, thats fine. Just give it a go till you’re happier with the result next time. If you’re really passionate about something, or it’s something you enjoy doing, then the end result is insignificant compared to the experience, compared to putting your heart into creating a work of art unique to you.

Was at an event on Saturday alhamdulillah =D went well and several items have been removed from the store as a result. I’m thinking of upgrading to a much better quality of canvas insha’Allah, the deep-edge ones =D also I’ve completely cut spray paints from the menu, they not good for me ‘elth (health)

I’ve thought up a new idea btw, what ima do…instead of painting randomly across the year, ima do a collection, for example 2010 Summer Collection, sounds kooool innit? =D so basically I’d paint in the summer when I’m free and update the blog with the new items all at once, rather than as and when I make them. Hmm dunno if that maketh sense but me finks it be a good idea!

Yayy I really enjoyed painting this one =D its really simple but I love the shade of pink, actually my lil sis chose it I was originally going to go for orange and yellow =P
